This has bound to have been answered many times but I can't seem to find it. How wide should the hem be along the sides of a gathered end hammock? I am also going to be adding 1/2" velcro along the edge.

I just roll the hem wide enough to cover up the selvedge, but it shouldn't make much difference how wide you make it. If you're adding the velcro, you might just make it a smidge wider than 1/2" so you can have a nice clean edge.

Alright then, I was wondering if it should be extra wide and strong since I would be sitting on it some of the time. I guess a regular hem will do. Thanks
