I've made a set of latex-tubing tarp tensioners and I'm thinking they might be overkill. How long do you cut the tubing (before stretching) to make a typical tensioner? How many inches of "take up" do you need typically on a silnylon tarp (like my maccat deluxe)

I made my tensioners 9" long. Seem to work well.
Rockhound: “Hey, Harry.”
Harry: “Yeah, Rock?”
