Welcome Neighbor! I live in Hudsonville and work in Walker.

Depending on how far Bloomgorge is going to make you carry that beer he's offereing a pretty good deal. Hey BG is that a car camping trip or a hike in?

I don't want to short BG on getting beer but depending on where you live or work I'd meet you some time and teach you to make them. Probably take 10-20 minutes. There's several great places you can buy them online but nothing beats the satisfaction of doing it your self and the ones you make are just as good as any one selling them. I say better, because you make them yourself.

The only tools you need are something to cut the rope, a piece of wire and something pointy like a pen.

oberon if it's available, if not blue moon, murphys,..something nummy and isn't on the side of a car that goes around an oval track.

actually best bet would be to cache it on the side of the road and walk the 200yds from the site out to the road once you reach the site from silver lake parking.

right now,..i think there is 6-8 people going.

who's this guy coming in last minute sand baggin trying to get the beer.

it's whatever,...i plan on hiking in the 6 miles and i think others are as well. you can park in between at pickler lake or something (bout 4 spots) but it's not looked after so don't leave anything in your car, this shorts the hike about 3 miles. i'm planning on dropping dblcorona off on the side of the road at a trail crossing to walk in the 200 yds because he bummed his leg on the last group hang.

Welcome aboard jrophoff. Fellow Grand Rapidian here too. Didn't realize how many HF members were located here on the west side of the mitten.

Wish I could make the Pinckney hang but I'll be in Detroit for the Tiger's home opener that weekend. Maybe we'll be able to get something planned later this year for the West Michigan crew?

    Hiddy ho, neighbor. Welcome.
Check the Manitou Island hang coming up on May 12-15.
Privat property hang on Thursday (12th), then the ferry ride and hang Friday, Saturday night. Then return home Sunday.

Welcome, This place is loaded with great folks that will offer all kinds of help.

And will also show you where to spend buckets of cash, on all the neat stuff they come up with or find a use for.

I can get some Oberon... These outings don't turn into drunken brawls do they?

What will it take to get 2 sets of suspension? I'm trying to get my father in-law to go.

nope, it's a pretty controlled outing within our party but if we're sharing the site with another group other than HF members I can't speak for them.
