This is a pretty neat idea. Seems like its is really simple to use. How strong is this thing. I mean will it hold up to winds or will the wire bent under the strain.

I think if you keep the wire the same size (or just a little bigger) as the line size you should be ok. I have not bent one yet, but I would never say that it cann't be done. It hold very well for just two wraps.
Good idea. Would work well for someone who is not so much into knots.
