Question about the Mt Washington 3....

Got my quilt and I'm really impressed with the construction, however I have a question. On the left hand side of the quilt there is a loop made of grosgrain about 2 feet down from the top. And on the right hand side there is an identical loop, but this one is 4 feet from the top. For the life of me, I can't understand why they are staggered like this. If they were across from each other, I would think it would be for keeping the sides of the underquilt from falling, ala Shug's video on the matter. But with the loops offset? Am I missing something?

those quilts were designed for Hennesey asym hammocks originally but work well on other hammocks as well. The grossgrain is there for the hennesey guyouts.

I use the mt washington 3 and 4 on my WBBB with np

    Close but no cigar....

The Mt washington Series were designed to fit all top loading hammocks both gathered end and bridge styles....

The ladder loops being referred to are to match up with both HH and the Tree to Tree Switchback tie outs that align the left shoulder and the right knee/calf.

On my warbonnet traveller, I use them to keep my UQ snug. I ran a piece of shock cord from the right-hand one to the ridge line that I pretty much keep on all of the time. The one on the left-hand side falls right at my shoulder, and I unclip it before I get in or out and then clip it up to the ridgeline when I get in the hammock. They really keep the UQ perfectly positioned on my shoulder and feet when I lay in the same orientation as the WBBB.

Thanks for the head's up. I'm now using the shockcord trick after having my Mnt. Washington 3 wanting to slip over to one side. Very, very, rude awaking, going from toasty warm to Brrr cold in the middle of the night! But after attaching the shockcord, I have no complaints. Maybe Jacks will offer an option to include a shockcord with hooks for a small fee for future Blackbird owners that order their UQ's. Just a suggestion.
