It looks like a good design although I've never seen one live but the video made the quality look so-so to me. Some would say it's okay for a kid but it's been my experience that kids are harder on equipment than adults.
The person who made the video thought the lettering was funny. Sure, the crazy wording and the destruction of the English language is mildly amusing, but some could be offended by having "US Army" printed next to a NAZI military emblem.
    ...just sayin'

On the tarp that comes with the hammock, would it be possible to hang it using the middle tie out tabs on the long edge of the hammock? It seemed the way you had it hung, there was a lot of extra tarp on each end and much less side coverage.

Try it out that way and you might get away without having to add a tie out point in the middle of the short edge.

    Cheers

Quality is so so but I got it for 40 bucks so I don't expect it to be a wbb or a dd hammock ...I thought the wording is funny and I totally understand the sensitivity of the symbols ..but I think it is not meant to be harmful.

I got one last summer from that same seller.
Got it as a spare for my kids and their friends.
My daughter and her friend (both 12) liked it and thought it was comfortable.
