since april is pretty nice for kayaking,i plan on doing some day kayaking on the buffalo river less than 5 miles down the road.any one that has kayaks would love this.i have 2 extra kayaks i can bring for anyone interested that dont have a kayak neo

will you be staying in the cabins or camping in the woods? a group of us stayed in the cabins for 2 nights a few years ago. pretty cool place.

Me and a friend are hiking up one day, spending the night in the lodge and hiking a different trail down the next day. Because the weather will still be a little unpredictable that time of the year we will wait and decide probably the day before which trails up and down. I did this over 40 years ago as a high schooler and have wanted to do it again ever since. I started hiking again about 2 years ago and had reversations to go last September but my heart attacks last year messed that up. I would have been fine (I hiked and hammocked that same weekend in middle Tennessee) but I knew my wife would worry herself sick if I went up that mountain. So I planned it for this year. ok, its 117 miles from hunstville, al to nashville, tn (a bit less in miles from actual campground) on the natches parkway...hope this helps...
