The 2QZQ underquilt protector works great for blocking the wind. Tried it this past weekend and did an excellent job of blocking the wind and holding in some heat.

I'll say 3 season as well....you can always make a IX UQ to go along with it for the winter time very cheap... and there easy to make

or if your a warm sleeper get a JRB undercover/Poncho.... I use one and like it
it will give you another 5-10 degrees out of your setup...
    and it's raingear as well..

or ZQZQ make an undercover as well...there are lots of options out there
It puts the Underquilt on it's hammock ... It does this whenever it gets cold

Yep get the 3s AND Warbonnets snap in liner...the reflective line gives 7F more and is a VBL..it and a ccf pad and you become winter worthy. The 3s Yeti is a marvel in minimalist design.

I've been using the 3 season Yeti for a couple of years now. No problem down to at least 30F, so unless you're going to be out in temperatures well below freezing, it's enough on it's own.

    listen to lori,

I am planning to add the 1/4 MLD pad to my set up for winter ( have a 3 season yeti) and possibly the 1/8 for summer.

I still would be hesitant to take off in yosemite in january over 10K feet with a 3 season uq. You get snowed in, and cant go to ground with that setup, and you will be in a world of hurt. On the other hand there is no way I would carry a 4 season uq all year. Just stay home if they are forecasting storms or zero degrees in the winter and you will be fine with a 3 season.
