this is my view
Back in January I set up on the side of the hill near Blackburn Trail Center, just off the AT in VA. I had my tarp in porch mode and looked out over the valley. With no leaves on the trees, I had an awesome view. Twinkling stars above, and house lights below. You can see a long way from this spot.
I'm heading back there this Friday. There's a chance of rain or thunderstorms, but I hope it's clear enough to get some good pics. This has been my favorite hang spot so far, and I'm looking forward to revisiting it.
Found dead Cypress tree on edge of the Neuse River and decided to take a break from my hike.
I am still 18 but with 52 years of experience !
I loved how we accidentally captured the demon/goblin who was in the left side of our bonfire!
Many of the previous shots were taken from either the 1st hang location in 1st pic above, or on an earlier trip from this spot below. Where you can see I still had a lot to learn about hanging hammocks and tarps!

some cool pics so far, keep it up
I figure the best view is the latest view.
In the back yard Saturday while trying out several tarp configurations.
Wish I had some mountains but this one is not bad
