A big thank you to Browny

Hope this is acceptable to put in this area.

Wanted to give thanks where thanks is due.

One of the Hammockforum members, Browny, also resides in Perth, Western Australia.

Last year after getting my whoopies from Jacks R Better, I fluffed up and lost a loop. Browny came to the rescue, met up with me and gave me a hand to fix it. He also gave me a bunch of ground pegs he'd made.

After all of this, we discussed and began to organise buying some materials together and making some bits and pieces.

Unfortunately, due to a number of issues including my wife being pregnant, resigning from my job and being offered 2 other jobs and a planned trip to the northern tip of Western Australia, I've been very slack and non-communitive (which isn't even a word).

During this time, Browny has soldiered on, offered to make my hammocks for me and just generally been very understanding and patient with me.

So, basically, THANK YOU BROWNY. You are a true gentleman and a great member of the community. Beers are on me when I get back from my holiday.

    Cheers,

    Jason.

Karma Man.... Karma. I dont give to recieve, but if I can make someones life a little easier while having some fun, it's gotta be a good thing.

(I might have trouble fitting my fat head through the doorway for a bit though)

The Marines have a motto "Semper Fi" meaning always faithful. That's a great Semper Fi buddy you've got there! Awesome to hear it!

And I'm playing host to some evil virus.

Plenty to go 'round if folks want some

Got me some cabin fever already and its only been a couple of days.

(Still beats being at work though, Just)

Well, Browny has done it again. This guy is a champion, a scholar, a gentleman and a true friend. He has also just earnt the title of honorary uncle to my new born girl (Lillian Jane, born 23 September @ 6:40am).

We got a baby hammock for our girl (http://miyobaby.com/) and the standard hook that comes with it is meant to be screwed through the ceiling sheet into a joist, but I just wasn't happy with how the screw hook looked and didn't think it was safe, so I mentioned it to Browny, and he offered to make something up that would also probably hold my weight.

This is what he came up with:

They sit over the joist, get screwed in on top and have a 5/18 (Bill, correct me if I'm wrong) nut welded to the end.

From the other side, I've put in a 100mm 5/18 316 stainless steel eyelet to hang the baby hammock from:

    The baby hammock, sans baby:

Again, Browny, you really are a good mate, Avril and I really appreciate everything you've done for us. We'll make sure we catch up again soon and have some beers!

    Cheers,

    Jason.
All in all and I'm loving every rise and fall the sun will make and I will take breath to be sure of this

Good to see it all worked out.
I'm not sure assisting you is good for my health however.
Currently waiting to see the doctor after three weeks of coughing
And such. My wife thinks it may be legionela but whatever it is
I seem to be lacking in the immunity dept.
