Nice and professional. Great job.

That looks REALLY nice Mule, does it zip all the way off?
probably sacrilege, but how does the original work?
The bug net is permanently attached, and zips open in the front to enter and exit. I made mine the same way. Once I discovered how easy it is to just flip it over and sleep on the other side when the bug net is not needed, I don't have any trouble with the design at all. Mule

hrm, & the bugnet isnt under any strain when the hammock is being laid in?
edit: I mean obviously not, but I am wondering how that is achieved.. it seems like it would be under a great deal of strain.

FYI, Its about the same weight too, 2.7 pounds including snakeskins and straps through the ends and biners.
Another 12 ounces for tree huggers and adjustable cinch buckles and 12 feet of webbing (each side)
brings the whole thing to 3.5 pounds.
Tarp is 16 ounces and four Y stakes another 2 is 4.2 pounds
Entire sleep and shelter weight with quilts is 7 pounds.
