ASM for Troop 614 Gainesville FL here - just me and occassionally one other ASM for now, though my son the SPL is itching to get into the trees. I expect more will follow the lighter we get and the more backpacking/hiking we do - the further we get from the trailer!

When I took High Adventure basic backpacking I got a few strang looks. But I was packed up way before any one else.
And my wont sleep in a tent anymore.

So far i am the first and only in our district. But that is also because i just started myself. I am sure i will start something with my boys at least they are always up for anything and will probably enjoy not having to haul such a large trailer everywhere we go. It tends to limit where we go and our boys do not like having limits.

As far as I know or have seen, I'm it BUT we'll work on that. My son got a hammock for Christmas and I now have a spare to take with for test runs.

Hello from across the pond.
2nd Quorn Scouts here we now have 2 Adults and 4 Scouts hanging, its really only taken off this last year.
My daughters Explorer Scout Troop are Hanging mad having had a go in them at the Jamboree in sweden and talked with the LNT group there.
I am pushing LNT here through my group aswell had a really good talk to the team at the Jamboree.
