I wonder if shug could modify some trekking pole into stilts and make this the new way to hang?

I use 2 custom sets of straps for my "extreme" setups. Both are made from 3/4" polyester webbing. Two of the straps are 25 feet long, and two of the straps are 20 feet long. Each strap has a 2 inch loop on both ends. I use that to attach them to each other, and to rig them to my anchor object.
The strap that you see, in the video, running above my hammock is also a custom. It's made from the same 3/4" polyester webbing and is 7 feet long.
It makes me feel pretty safe. I think that the webbing has a load strength of over 1,500 lbs per square inch.
I can explain it in more detail if any of you would like, but that's briefly what the specs are.

Oh, yeah. That's how I normally hang. However, to dismount I usually simply do a backflip with a double half-gainer out of the hammock onto the ground. Much more efficient.
