Trail advice in the Smokies. Thunderhead Loop

Thunderhead Loop

I am going on a 3 day hiking trip in the Smokies and stoked due to it being my first hammock trip. Actually I guess that is what I am asking, Has anyone had any experience with the route? Is it hammock friendly?
The day I would be using the hammock would be at campsite #28 off the Greenbrier Ridge trail.

I would appreciate any advice.

I've been in Thunderhead & Sam's Creek drainages quite a bit, but never up and over the ridge to Lynn Camp or up to Thunderhead. There are a lot of old manways in the area you should check those out sometime.

Hammock friendly? You wont have any trouble.

I only get up to the Smokies twice a year and we try to never hit the same trails, except small sections, twice. I'll have to check out your suggestions online and consider them for the next trip.

I am pumped about my first hammock outing!
