I hiked that same stretch this time last year... that really is a beautiful part of the country. That was my first trip out west and hopefully not my last.

I did that hike two years ago; this weekend actually. We entered next to Jacob Hamblin arch and turned around at the wide sandstone shelf waterfall.

I was dumb enough to do the entire hike in flip flops (about 12 miles). I could barely walk the next day.

So, does the "creativity" in finding a way to hang share credit with smart advance planning in bringing along an extra 200 feet of Amsteel (just 6oz) between trees or boulders on ridges that far apart?

Fortunately, I didn't have to be THAT creative It is more a case of finding trees the right distance apart that aren't totally clogged with massive amounts of flood debris.
