Well, they never seemed to scale back or stop the fabric sale around here. But my area has a huge hunting business, so they scaled hunting way back and started trying to sell bear bells in the camping 1/2 isle. Yassir step right up, Texas Bear Bells for Sale.

I have gotten a couple of good buys on some left over coated camo rip stop and some very thin not treated ripstop at WW. Have not seen anything worth gettting at my local WW in a few months but I always check when ever I go in.
I am still 18 but with 52 years of experience !

I haven't found ripstop in over a year, but I still walk through the 1 walmart in 5 (within 20 minute drive of the house) that still has fabrics...

    Here's hoping!

What walmart is in the DFW area that has a fabric section? I've looked around some and can't find one.

I'd rather pony up a few extra bucks and buy the material from our cottage vendors that offer diy supplies rather than buy that stuff from Walmart.

Bargain bin aside, I doubt you would be saving more than a few bucks.

$1.50 a yard vs. $3+ a yard and shipping, plus get it when you need it if your Wal mart keeps it in stock.

I'd say I've got 30+ yards lying around here, and have less invested than if I had bought 15 from elsewhere. It's like buy one get one free. For every one hammock you build, I build two.

Yes, the WW fabric is cheap, but in the 2 or so years of looking, I've only found ripstop at my local WW twice, and they still have a fabric dept. I'd definitely buy it if WW had it, but other items I still buy from BWDD or AHE... zippers, pulls, polyester straps, etc. Joann's wants like $5 for a 5mm zipper pull... BWDD: $0.35 go figure.

I'm lucky, there are 3 Wally Worlds within a 40 minute drive that have rip stop nylon in stock more often than not.

Plus a fabric store that has $3 to $5 a yard Nylon ripstop, they even have white.
