I've seen a couple different threads over the last week where people say they don't like the feeling of lighter weight (1.1oz) material compared to heavier options such as 1.9oz. Am I the only one that prefers a stretchy fabric for my bridge hammock? I made my first two out of 1.1oz ripstop, and I rather like the slight cushion feel that the lighter material gives.
I will say it gives a little more sag, but I've found that by exaggerating the spreader bars a little, and hanging it at a slightly shallower angle, I get nearly as flat a lay, with a nice stretchy 'squish' that supports in all the right places.
I have only spent a couple nights now in the light weight bridge, so I'm wondering if there are disadvantages I haven't yet encountered that maybe some of you guys can clue me in on.
Am I just a hammocking freak? (In this aspect. I already know I'm a freak in plenty of other ways )
