Kids can say the right thing at the right time. Great attitude on your child's part and good example you are setting.

What a great story and to top it off what a great signature for you, littlebog and Shug.

Well I guess Littlebogg is lucky that I am one of the Asst. Scout Masters for his Troop. I have been working with some of my older Scouts. And they have been testing out the use of hammocks on campouts. So I hope I have sparked up some new hammock campers.

I think I'd have to ask that Scout Leader if it's your son's fault that they're less comfortable???

Sorry...I don't get his line of reasoning.

Heck...seems like with a little research here, they could make this a heck of a DIY project for the troop to try out. It's a good way to teach scouts that there are all kinds of ways to accomplish the same thing.

I should have written my post better... the conversation my son's Scout leader had with him was totally tongue-in-cheek and was a positive nod towards hammock comfort. Simply by the leader's own admission, I suspect the scouts will be allowed to hang on troop campouts in the near future; just in time for the troop BWCA six day trip this June

Well, you know that's what life is about, being fair. 'Cause life is fair. We certainly wouldn't want to encourage trying anything different. Might not be fair to others. I need to stop.

That sounds awesome. It's almost like your child quoting the preacher over Sunday lunch...can't argue even if you want to.
