    hammock engineer,

I am VERY familiar with those "looks"... lol

My poor husband has to endure razzing as well. When people ask him what he gave his wife for Christmas, or her birthday, mother's day, etc., he has to try to explain to people why and what a self-tensioning line is, or a Weather Shield (or any other BP gear).

They give him a look like he must be the worst husband in the world (you didn't get her JEWELRY?!?!?!?)

Then, I have to explain how these things ARE my "TREASURES" !!

Of course, he gets the sympathetic looks then !!!!!!!!!!

It would be WONDERFUL to hang out with people who "understand" the passion...

    Perk

I am considering going to Mt. Rogers (I WANNA REAL BAD!!!)

My husband travels for a living- I won't know until last minute if he'll be here to hold the fort down (kids)

But, if you see some 5 ft old lady with a REALLY ridiculous looking pack hiking very slowly towards the group, trying to catch her breath- it may be me !

    Feel free to giggle...

Then I guess it was you I was quoting (Did you ever think that you would be quouted someday?)!

I will be the guy with short hair, a big pack with Breeze following closely behind picking up whatever falls out, and the one being pointed at and horse laughed! Yup, should be pretty easy for you to pick me out!
