    U.L. Hammock Base Weight

OK fellow HF'ers it has been a productive day. I went through and gathered up all my stuff and put it in a spread sheet for ya. I was hoping for a 5lb base weight but with me adding a few thing that I always take now days put me at the 6lb end of thing and not the 5. But They are things necessary for me to be comfortable. VS. when I was a ground dweller I did not need such items, well back in the day any way...I find me needing them now, regardless of what is going on.

I have not gone out an tried this kit, yet, but wanted to show everyone. Who knows I may not end up liking the way things go, and go back to the bigger things like the WBBB, bigger pack, tarp and what not.

I even made about a 15 minute video...but it sucked..the 6 year video camera has terrible quality and is extremely pixalated. It was even worse once I put it on youtube. So I deleted it. I got to figure things out a bit, before I do anything else. For some reason it wont let me change the image quality on the camera...even though it says there are options.

Oh well you all will just have to get by with the spread sheet for now.
If someone wants to tell me how to get the actual Excell Spread sheet in here that would be even better...other wise it is copy and paste for right now.

The sit/sleep pad is the under insulation I'm guessing!?!?

    Mugs,

I see your using the BPL550 cup is this the one without handles? If so that sucker is gonna be hot do you have anything like a pot grabber or bandanna that you will use to grab/hold the cup? I see your using/bringing a towel, will this be multi-purpose to be used as a pot grabber as well?

Most excellent! I love my GG 1/8 pad, but found I needed a little more to go below 50F. I added the Baby Orca IX UQ @ 8.5oz and did well at 37F last weekend.

I have pretty much the same set up, except I have the GT Ultralight as I'm too big for the Nano 7.

It's amazing how well this light load feels when on the trail.

Anyway, great job with working out the ultra-light load!!

Looking nice. Assuming the GG 1/8 pad is your under insulation, how far have you or how far do you expect to take it to temp wise? I have one and am planing on trying it when temps get a little warmer.

Mountain Laurel Design's, Z-Pack's, and Hyperlite Mountain Gear have them!

Not sure where Mugs got them, but these are a couple of places that carry them (there are also others as well)!

Ya I may go to the full length 1/4 GG pad (my 1/8 pad is full length as well.) We'll see. The average temps at night that I have where I hike are 35-40f.

The Nano is going to be an experiment for sure. As per me being 6.1 and 210...I just may end up back in my WBBB any way.

No it is the one with the handles...(learned my lesson the hard way) I have had it for about 3 years and love it.

I get all my stuff from Joe at Zpacks. These (the pack included) were some of his firsts before he became famous. I would say about 4 years old and still going strong. He doesn't even make them like this any more (newer/better design) and the Zilch series packs have been replaced by the blast series.
    Still all great stuff.
