    under pocket

I have HH ul backpacker, side zip. I am going to add a second layer. It is more of a pocket for a pad than a structural layer.

I intend to us bug net to keep the weight down.

I plan to use Seamstick 1/2" C3 Spinnaker Basting Tape from http://www.sailrite.com.

Anyone tried this or have suggestions as to why this will or will not work.

I don't sew and this should be a no sew solution.

hey, good luck, try it and let us know! i would use spinnaker tape for other things (i used it on tyvek with success), but not as a permanent fixture on my hammocks. maybe others will chime in..

To sew or not to sew

I would stay away from no sew solutions. Your hammocks fabric stretches and you need something that will stretch with it. I am not sure the tape can really do that. I think the best thing you can do is just break down and learn to sew or pay someone who can. Good luck to you and if it works let me know.

    Edit:
I just read about the tape and it seems like it will work. Definitely put up some picks and trip report.
