    Arrow How Long ?

To all of my fellow NC hangers as well as others from out of state that would be interested .

What kind of time frame would you need in advance to plan a hang in my neck of the woods ?

Would I need to plan anything other than the location and dates ?

A breif description of the place , A two mile hump along the Tar River , ending at a very private hard to locate site with abundant beauty , plenty of trees , a small fire pit a homemade (from saplings) shower area . The main camp area is kept clean to cut down on ticks and what not. You can paddle to it if you want and if you did you could bring your dutch ovens and other heavy items....the two of us are usually very low impact in and around this area limiting who we bring (due to bad experiences with disrespectful people) I have been told that we wouldnt have that problem with anyone from HF so I wanted to start getting the idea in some heads...we keep it light hearted and fun..with lots of laughs..I dont care if you drink as long as its in moderation...I dont drink but the other Chris may have a few beers....but everyone is fun....I usually do some low impact survival courses for those who are interested.....anyway...you guys let me know what you think...wether its positive or negative...Semper FI!!

With 30 days notice, I'm in as long as it doesn't fall on my weekend to work.

Give it some time.... Hang a hammock, and they will come.

That will be about 3 hours from my place. A couple weeks notice in most cases and I can work things in.

I would be interested in doing it sometime after September and before May. Not sure I would want to go there in the summer unless you can convince me that its not too hot.

A Tar River hang near Nashville sounds great. Even better if I can paddle in. A couple of weeks notice is all I need.
