    Thanks for the inspiration SGT Rock

    I got my 5' stick of 'shark bite' pipe last night for $1.50 and it slipped right over the trekking poles. Have already checked it out with the tarps and it is going to work great. THANKS

    What sort of tarp are you using? I'd like to hear about other solution issues based on tarp shape and see pictures. My wife uses a Mac Cat tarp and I haven't looked at how to do something like this with hers yet; and by boys both use stock HH tarps, I think I know how I will do those - but I plan to wait until after my hike and then make sure they want the mod for their hammocks first.
