I'm staying pretty tied down w/ extra duties around the home front theses days, but I'll try to keep an eye on this thread & see what happens.

Alright guys I'm officially in! Lets figure this out.

Now we have a location (Harrison Ave parking at Umstead. Turn north at exit 287 of interstate 40)

We need a time and I imagine if a few more people will commit, so will others. No one wants to show up if they're the only ones

It sounds like conceptually this is a meet and greet as well as a gear show off/demonstration so we can learn how others do it.

So I'll have my recently modded HH with UCR's and dutch clips ect and as its the only camping hammock I've ever seen in person I'm curious to see what everyone else has and happy to demonstrate.

I'm not planning on camping and have other plans in Raleigh later that afternoon but I'll probably just toss all my toys in the jeep and everyone can play with whatever.

I'll have my camera on hand and based on what we've got to work with I can try and compile an event video afterwards.

I'm hoping we can setup right there near the parking area for convenience, but I've only been there once and don't recall the layout much. From there anyone that wants to drop by can, and can of course do a bit of hiking while they're there as well.

How does 11:30am sound?? Too early?? We too have things to do that evening so we won't be camping. I'm pretty sure that in that parking lot right off to the side is a picnic area. Right were the start of Lollylob trail head is. I'll double check on that tomorrow when it isn't raining and I'll head over on my lunch break to check it out. We'll also just throw all our gear in the car

I would consider coming that way, however I have a friend that has a big party for the Wells Fargo gold tournament in CLT this weekend. Always fun with bbq and music in his backyard. Don't know about the gold as I have never made it there yet despite it being in Quail Hollow.

Can we get a basic idea who all is coming out. If it is only going to be 3 or 4 people I say just hold off till another weekend. Maybe when it isn't mothers day and there isn't already an NC hang a few hours away.

Sounds like it probably makes sense to reschedule. I wish I could make the Hot Springs hang but it is a busy weekend for me.

I am looking forward to seeing a variety of rigs and see other setups.

I'd love to make it but won't be able to with it being Mother's day weekend and all. I had to give up the Hot Springs hangout already for the same reason.
