Thanks to all for sharing your ideas!

    Cheers

There are lots of cool designs out there! Yours is a goodie. My solution to the sag, though, was to make a full-length flap with velcro. I like my RLO as a multi-use item: (It's a stuff sack)

The only problem is I traded one for some tyvek, and another for some mitten clips... now I need to make one for ME.

update on my organizer after the first official hang:

after loading it up with a few things to get a good test run out if it, it reached a failing point at two areas. one of my tabs broke off of the end (no picture but it was fixed by using my pocket knife as the connection point) and the seam of one of my big pockets burst open. that was a bit harder to fix and went unchanged for the night because i was just to tired to care.

    final conclusion:
im using some extra fabric (thicker than the 1.1) to make a slightly smaller but greatly enhanced new organizer which will include updates like a full ridgeline connection. i have a few hammocks to make before undertaking this but a new post to follow soon.

That's a shame. I wouldn't have expected the end seam to pull out. Maybe stitched too close to the edge?

I usually do a roll hem all the way around and then fold the pockets up. That way it is stitched through multiple layers and next to a folded edge vs. a cut edge.

I would think the 1.1 ripstop should be strong enough with a few different construction details.

Thanks for adding to my education though.

I think it just stitched too close to the edge so it just ended up coming out. I can fix it by resewing it back to the grosgrain but closer to the fabric this time. I think a second would help with me sewing skills and refining my original idea.

The 1.1 is plenty strong enough but I dont have any left. At least enough to do another organizer. I do have some Joannes fabric left over which just happens to be heavier. I guess I should have said it that way first huh?
