    First

    This past weekend was one of first for me! I went on my first solo over night hike and spent my first night hanging in a hammock! It was by far the best night's sleep I've ever gotten while camping! I may never go to ground again!
    I plan to add an under quilt and tarp to my gear list for my upcoming hike on the AT in June, but for now I'm good to go! I have another over night trip planned for the weekend!:}

    Awesome!!! Your posts is filled with exuberance and enthusiasm, and all that good stuff that fills us with the sense of adventure. Glad you got out and enjoyed the solo hike. Real self-confidence booster for sure!

    Take some pics when you go again. Good for the memories in years to come, and great way to share on here.

    Watch out when you start adding gear. The whole thing turns into an addiction real easy!

    great job, I too just did my first overnighter, but in more severe conditions than you had, it was 17 degrees!!
    And yes I can vouch how quickly this becomes an addiction.

    What's funny is every time you go tent camping after learning to hammock camp, you always ask yourself "Why in the world did I do that?" then answer yourself with "I dunno, but I'm not gonna do it again, that's for sure."

    Or is it just me?
