    NX250 width

I bought my NX250 over a year ago and love it. In that time I've run into one problem that I'd like to ask other NX250 folks about:

Since the poles spread it's width, do any of you have problems being able to have room or space under the tarp?

Even with my Speer WT, it seems I have very little space to cook or sit in my hammock when it's raining. I can stake it out further but almost need some uphill slope on one side to help.

I have the Vertex Rain Fly, and have not set up in the rain . . .
    but

If your not sleeping would it work to remove the poles for making room under the fly . . .
. . . and the same for just sitting in while cooking ???

. . . besides any other comments from others ???

You know, I've never tried hanging in it without the poles. That may very well work if there is no other secret fix out there.

One idea I had was to make a couple two section shock corded poles to act as tarp risers. Something like two 18" aluminum poles from Quest to make a set of 36" (enough to give me more elbow room) but that is just something else to carry around.
