    Derwent Trip

Just had a great couple of day Paddleing around Derwnt Water, Lake District, UK, with my youngest daughter.
The weather was almost perfect, just a slight head wind day one. This made the trip to our camp on the Island a little tough for Em
But was all worthwile with a view like this on arrival.
The nights sleep was great apart from the Geese gaggling all night on the neighbouring isle, but apparrently I slept well. (snoring kept Em awake), but who wouldn't here

Breakfast was simple but delicious with glass still water and views to die for

being all geeky I had a look at the "source" html that is interpreted by the browser and discovered that you're pointing to your gallery.
Perhaps the problem is giving the URL you harvest to the "Insert Picture" icon above.

Instead I'm trying to use the "Insert URL" feature, let's see if it works....
    (later) it did.

Can't seem to get it to select individual pictures from the albums through.

I've looked down on Derwent Water many times from the surrounding ridges. Enjoyed the reminder, thanks.

Derwent looks so calm in the last pic, glad you enjoyed the paddle . I've yet to paddle the lakes, looking forward to getting on it.

that's because the URL you get by clicking on your gallery is not pointing at an image. It looks like

    Xhttp://www.hammockforums.net/forum/album.php?albumid=1109&pictureid=7880X
without the X's (included to keep vbulletin from interpreting this as a hyperlink) which points at a PHP script that returns a fully formated web page in which is embedded a particular image. Not the same as a raw .jpg file.

If you put your pictures in the Forums Gallery you get on the page that displays the image and comments and tags a box entitled "BB Image Code" that contains a cut-and-paste string you can just gerplunk into a posting. That puts a thumbnail sketch in the posting, which when clicked on brings you to the real image.

    Countryman,
Thanks for the pics. Sometimes we Yanks forget how lovely the countryside is there. Glad to hear you had a good trip!
