    Long Weekend

Since a lot of folks get Good Friday off I wonder how many are getting out in the woods for a long weekend.

Hamhocker and I are leaving tomorrow for Savage Gulf for 3 days of backpacking and relaxing. This will be her longest backpacking trip. After she survived the trip to Virgin Falls this one ought to be easier for her. Well except for one section of the connector trail

Murphy's law always seems to mess up the best laid plans. At least you are getting out for the day

I'll be getting out on a quick one-nighter with my scouts to get in some mountain biking on some mountain trails (assuming the snow backs off enough).

Not I. Gotta work and pay the mortgage! LOL Though we did sign up for the Volunteer Day on Saturday morning at Radnor Lake. Does that count?

Y'all enjoy Savage Gulf. Don't be too hard on Susie, her longest outing yet.

If things work out (read-weather) my buddy and I are planning on loading our whitewater kayaks with hammocks etc and doing an overnighter on the Loyalsock Creek in northern PA. We've never done this on a whitewater creek before so it should be interesting with the extra weight in the boats.
