I am new to hanging and look forward to reading the posts and learning new things about hammock. I have 2 Hennesy Hammocks, an Expedition and a Scout. My main reason for going to hammocks was to be a little cooler while trying to sleep down here in the deep south. After April or May tents are more like trying to sleep in an oven.

Welcome swamprat. It is hard to be cool in almost anything when the nighttime lows are 80+ degrees and relative humidity is hovering around the same number but it sure beats lying on the ground.Originally Posted by backpackingZombie
