Thanks for the info. I always watch for obstacles on the trail while mtn biking. I've done enough face plants to know I prefer to avoid pain and blood.

Are we going the 2nd or 3rd week in May?

    Not sure Mancat....

Just checked out the area....under about 3 ft. of water at this time.....road is completely washed out.

I am thinking 3rd weekend......but there is another hike on Memorial day....sooo....we MAY want to wait out the mud and just plan on the memorial day hike......

over the last 2 weeks, we have had ( in this area ) 8 inches of rain.....nasty nasty nasty.

Yeah this rain is crap. The only reason I ask is cause I am itching to go out again and I will be gone the last week of May.

    Big Al

Hey Big Al, are there any good locations in Madison Cty you know of. I sometimes will set up at Mounds for a little afternoon break. Never attempted a overnighter. The camping area frowned on my mock and said NO to hanging on a designated camp site during any busy times and said if campers came they would ask me to move. I was in good ole Alex yesterday. Up by Yule. I don't play golf tho. Was working.

    Cheers

    Madison Co.

Sorry wigwam11. I know of no place around here to hang. However Mule and Gram Man know of a little place up on the Wildcat near Kokomo. I think they refer to it as the knoll. You might check that out. Big Al

at the parking area, it's pretty flat with the exception of about the last 40 yards....and even thats not very big.... I am thinking just hanging there for a night or 2 nothing serious, just have a good time, with good friends, relaxing in front of a fire. Heck we could even bring music to the pines....not that far to carry....

gmcttr....I notice your in columbus....I am just in Seymour....Like Ron the farmer, maybe we could hook up....only a few minutes away from each other...

Sounds like a plan, unfortunately I will not be able to make it this time. To many things to be done in to little time.

Could check out Deems wilderness, there are some great hanging spots along the Peninsula trail, or on the peninsula itself.
