Ropes and knots.

Ok. I started trying to learn some new knots for tarp placement. I have practiced the slipped butt line hitch for one of the tarp ends and 2nd end is a truckers hitch so I can adjust the tension and I was suggested to do a few prusik based of a double fisherman knot to hang items off your ridge line which I am running inside my new OES deluxe. So is it the prusik you use to attach the tarp to the ridge line? I would like to get the ridge line and tarp attached and leave it all connected.
My question is how do I attach the tarp to the pusiks on the ridge line? I am also looking for a quick and easy way to attach the tarp stakes.

So far this warbonnet video is the only way i have tryed the stakes. girth hitch and then 1.5 times around the stake but then do you tie a safety so it doesn't come off.

Try the marlin spike hitch or from a more recent video I saw, the pile hitch for your stakes.
For the prusiks you can use mini-carabiners or even just feed the loops through the D rings and put a trail stick through it.

I was wondering the same thing. I just received my Dutch Flyz, and was wanting to try a CRL. I have never used one myself. I have some mini-biners I was thinking of using, but don't know how well they will hold up.

I read, then slap the forehead, duuuhhhhh!! That would work just fine. I don't have D-rings, but the webbing would work just the same.
