cannibal... maybe you & others could put a link to your trail journal in your signature (that is if you want to make it that accessible).
    just a thought.

Don't you dare to a single one of them. Not to turn this into a political forum, but have you ever seen a bigger bunch of unelectable people in your life? At least Fred Thompson would have brought law and order to things. See that's a joke....he's an actor. Oh nevermind.

Ok, I think I have my TJ in my signature now. I won't write very much because I would bore myself. So it will be more of an online photo journal. A little writing so friends and family know where I am at, and to list names of people and places to help me remember. Other than that, it's gonna be a whole bunch of random photos.

I know God made all the creatures and all that jazz. But your nuts when it comes to beig that close to those things. I got the shivers from reading your trail journals. I can move them off the trail with my poles, but what I'd rather do is go after them with my grandma's hoe. Nice pictures though, and be careful on your hike, I wish I was younger, not married, didn't have 6 kids, etc. You guys are soooo lucky.

I love snakes. I've always wanted a pet snake.

it's good to have a better understanding of all those creatures while your out hiking & hanging.

Exactly. Growing up I always watched animal planet and discovery channel when they had animal documentaries on. That's why I get so excited when I see a snake or bear in the woods. I've read and watched so much about them, and finally seeing them and kind of studying them a little in their environment makes my entire day. I probably spent an hour and a half with the timber rattler just sitting there in front of him watching him. He eventually calmed down, loosened his coil, and we stared at eachother for a while as he suned (sunned?).
