    Jack has never said they're needed. Just that it's more comfortable with them. Kinda like clothing...not really needed, but I'm sure glad I have some.

    I've gotten condensation every time I've used a CCF pad except for once, and I stayed cool that night, almost chilled. Pads don't work for everyone as well as they work for you.

    Yes.... note... the shock cord constricts on itself and virtually locks down...mine has not moved since the last time I set it...probably at least 6 hangings ago.
