The ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of comfort and convenience, but where he stands at times of challenge and controversy."
Good times. A multi-day trip would be nice. My wife and I were practically running out because we wanted to get down to our other campsite and pack up before having to pay for another day since we were heading over to Lundy Lake (by Mono).
Welcome from Gadsden, Al. It's so humid here, if you don't use a tarp you wake up wet from the dew. But you shouldn't have that problem.
Quick question: does a tarp help keep in any warmth at all?
I suppose saying "I hate you" is not the best way to welcome a person into the forum, but I'm pretty darned jealous. The SLO area is wonderful. Whenever the crew (AKA my family) and I can take off for the coast (VERY infrequently), we usually head toward your neck of the woods. This summer we'll be doing most of our traveling in the Sierra's, but as always, I'll be lobbying for a coast trip as well.
Glad to have you aboard!
You're gonna need a bigger hammock
mmm, excellent! my warbonnet net will help me out
yeah, SLO County is hard to be beat in terms of overall gorgeousness I came down here in 95 to go to school and haven't left since.
and if you like wine, this is definitely the place to be. awesome wines, without the snobbery of <that other place up north>.
Welcome, from Alabama!
