    Nacrobiners, my suspension, any problems?

Hey all. I have been back and forth between my whoopie slings and my stock WB straps. I love the ease of the strap system, but also love the weight and cool factor of the whoopies. Neither of which I find cumbersome to use, but I like them both.

So what I have done was made up some nacrobiners to connect between my continues loop around my hammock and what ever suspension I decide to use for the occasion. I was wondering if anyone see's a potential problem with this setup? Like a weak point? Im not a heavy fella @ 6'-4" 180. The first picture below shows my strap system hooked up. Second is my whoopie system, I'm basically hooking the nacro in the fixed eye end of the whoopie. I put the diamond knot down as a drip spot. By the way, that's Ginger making an appearance In the background.

Looks like the loop on your nacrabiners are a bit big? Maybe it's just not milked closed all the way? Anyway, your setup looks fine. You might want to invest in a set of Dutch Biners, they serve the same purpose as nacrabiners but they're a little bit easier to use IMO.

Dutch Bikers work well for me....your dog seems particular interested in your webbing setup.

Thanks all. I have been thinking of getting some Dutch clips for this. It would make it a little quicker, although I am used to working the nacro's. I use them up next to the trees on my huggers also.

The setup looks great. +1 on Dutch biners though.

There are stories of folks using soft shackles/nacrobiners in cold/wet conditions and struggling with mittens/gloves on or them becoming unusable altogether if they soak up water and freeze.

Nothing innately wrong with them. Just some limitations in certain circumstances.

I use a similar setup for my tarp. It should work fine for a hammock.
