    I managed to get a zipper in the base ot the hood of my bag. To my surprise a 14" one was not long enough to to work as I had hoped. For really cold nights it should be ok but it causes some shoulder squeeze. At the end of my hike I plan to put in a longer one, maybe 14".     i'll bet you'll be wondering about hammocks from time to time
