    XL Fly--packed size?

Hi, all. This is my first post here.

I just received my Clark NA.
And the first thing I want to add is a waterproof stuff sack for separating the rainfly from the hammock for packing.

(to disagree with that one fella: I have no problem getting the hammock, XL fly, and all ropes into the attached bag)

I've looked at some stuff-sacks online, but sizing is an issue.

Will the XL rainfly fit into a 1liter bag? or will I need a 2liter bag?

Looking forward to using the hammock somewhere other than my backyard.

If I were you, I'd see if it fits in a quart size ziploc bag to see if 1 liter would work for you. 1 liter is a smidgeon bigger than a quart. (ok, well they're close to being the same size)

If the quart size ziploc is too small, you know you need to move to the next size up. Just a thought.

    Good suggestion.
I tend to forget they make anything bigger than a sandwich bag!

    And thanks for the welcome.

FYI, the XL fly fits into a 2liter Sea-to-Summit waterproof bag.

how much room did you have left? I have started carrying mine in the mesh pocket on my backpack when it gets wet but i just carry mine in the pocket that it comes with only detached from main body of hammock so it's the first thing to come out of the pocket.

There was enough room left to roll the top over 4 times, IIRC.
And that was with the guy lines in there too.

That's my experience too. Reasonably tight but not so tight you have to stuff it for 5 minutes to get it in there. I can get it into a 1 liter bag but I can only get two rolls on that and it takes work.
