    Warbonnet travels to disaster site

on 28APR I deployed to Barnesville, GA a small community devastated by the recent tornadoes. we setup in a parking lot behind a convenience store under popup tent. My roll is to manage our soldiers so I stay under the popup tents where I set up my 'office"

after going for almost 24 hrs I decided I need to lay down for a couple of hrs. as we rotated soldiers they were sent to a local gym where they can get rest in between shifts.

I stay close to my office. so I found a small narrow island where cars drive around to enter parking lot. it had 2 small trees - almost perfect distance to hang a hammock.

Needless to say many were interested in my sleeping quarters!

Headed back out to the NW part of the state in about 45mins

Stay safe down there ShadowAlpha. It can be very rewarding working in those sorts of situations but it can burn you out too. Get some time in the hammock when you can..it will help.

I have a buddy from work who has spent the weekend helping in Tuscaloosa, which was devastated. Bless ya'll for helping out, I wish I could but have family here to care for while the wife is out of town. I went up in the plane today to take a look at the damage from the air....it is heart breaking to see the destruction.

Yes bless everyone for helping out. I live in one of the devastated areas, Tuscaloosa, AL. I and my family are fortunate to have not been directly in the path of this monster. We have had a 6 mile long, 1 mile wide path of total destruction through mostly residential areas. Thanks to all who have helped. It is going to be a long slow recovery but we will be back.
