Defininently use pull outs. Also make sure the tarp is taught.

Pull outs can make a huge difference. I was sleeping last night on top of a bluff overlooking the Missouri River. Wind was frequently gusting to 40+ mph with steady breezes running 10-25mph.

I was really afraid that my added pullouts would tear away from my Speer Winter Tarp; but they held just great! It was still a noisy experience, but at least it was comfortable and safe.

The road goes ever on and on Down from the door where it began. Now far ahead the Road has gone, And I must follow, if I can, Pursuing it with weary feet, Until it joins some larger way, Where many paths and errands meet. And whither then? I cannot say.
