My First Hammock DIY Project - Tree Strap

    How-dee, everybuggy!

I wanted to share my first-ever Hammock DIY project with y'all. I've dun made myself some Tree Straps. (whispering) It's also the first-ever video I dun created and published in my entire life... so, sorry for the 1st timer quality. It's also not going to be the last. There will be more DIY videos.

Note: Knowing how much help I've needed as I ramp up on all things hammock, I wanted the video to be kinda dual purpose. In addition to showing how I made my straps, I'm hoping it might also help fellow newbie thread injectors to literally "see" how I inject thread. Now, I'll say right up front here. I am NOT an expert. I know there are many, many other ways to do this stuff. This is just how I learned and how I like to do it. I'm comfortable with this... for me... and I am not saying there aren't other ways that are just as good or better.

Anyway, I hope you all like it and I want to say thank you again to everyone here for all the great advice and for sharing so much of what they do and why.

If you want to skip threading a machine and go directly to the thread injecting, go in about 2.5 minutes.

HA HA.... You know? I was thinking that when I said that. But, that's how I learned and it's a great memory key. (chuckling)

    Thank you!!

Great video, nice and sharp and well lit. I can't watch it with sound when I'm at work, so I could only *see* it. I'm going to be doing some of this soon, so thanks!

Great video! Thanks for sharing that information. How many times should you go over your stitching?

For example, in your video you said, "I like to go over the stitching a couple of times." And in one of the popups you said that that was designed to support your body weight.

I weigh 260lbs. How many times would I need to go over the stitches?

    Thanks!
