Hello. My name is Nick; I am completely new to hammocks. I'm deciding to leave tents and try something new. My only issue is I'm 6'1" and 360 lbs and I'm looking for a hammock that will hold me with no problem. Please post any kind of advice/help/tips or just anything useful. Thanks in advance.
Check the various vendors on the forums. They all have options that would work for you. Then it becomes which one. That's where you'll get all the faithful for each vendor check in.

I'm 6' and 370, have been well over 400 and I love my WBBB's 1.7 Triple, 1.7 Double and Traveler 1.7 Dbl. They hold me just fine.
I remember reading on the forum that they had over 1000# in a WBBB 1.7 Dbl with no damage!

As others have stated, there are tons* of hammocks that are strong enough to hold you - the next step is figuring out what other features are important to you, and going from there. You have lots of options - so much so that it will probably seem overwhelming for a while.

the good thing is im looking for a pretty basic one with just a bugnet. Ive always used a tarp for the rain with my tents there only 8 bucks and there plenty big enough to cover me. I was talking to hogg tyed earlier and he was talking about a eno double it looks great i think its prolly what im gonna go with as long as it doesnt take up a lot of room in my pack
