    The Dutch Hook at DutchWares

For the continous ridge line fans I made the Dutch Hook. It is made of titanium and it weighs just a little tiny bit over nothing. Some of these babies found their way around at Mahha. If you use a continuous ridge line you simply reach around the tree and hook it. It is designed to be a little snug on Zing it, no tangle, or Dynaglide so you can cinch it up on the tree and it will stay. Also you can then put it on 2 prussiks and use them to attach you tarp. It is lighter than a nacra-biner and easier to use with gloves or with bare hands. It is almost lighter than the knot holding it. Just be glad it is tied to the end of your ridgeline or you would surely lose it as it is about the size of 3 grains of rice.

I have a limited supply right now but I am having more made this next week. Even though this one is pretty simple, I am pretty proud of these little babies.

Glad you finally put these out there! I held one in my hand at MAHHA and bounced it around and could hardly feel it - they are that light! I immediately put it on my CRL, replacing my knot bone.

Dutch hook on one end, Tarp Flyz on the other supporting my Cuben fiber tarp. Can't get much lighter or more simple than that!

With my Dutch clip on my tree straps, I feel like a little Dutch monk seeking to obtain his enlightenment. Maybe for the fall MAHHA I'll grow a beard?

    nice!

I'm going to have to get one of these to use in place of the screw gate link on my ridge line so it can be detached.
