I prefer to blend with the natural settings so I tend to like the greens and earth tones as well.

Yeah, Black isn't nearly as stealth as some like to believe. Natural Greens, Coyote browns and tan, olives, tans, greys, etc. But black as a stealthy color? Yeah, hang your black hammock up wait till dark and put me within eyeballing distance without a flashlight, guarantee I'll sit for a minute, get my eyes adjusted and walk right to it. At night red hides better than black under a low light situation.
Not always-you are seeing linear shapes, not so much the color (the color part of our eyes arent used that much at night). During the day, yes. But, at night, everything is shades of black...unless there is some sort of backlighting, or a very bright moon. A blue tarp, a yellow tarp, a green tarp, a black tarp-at night, at distance, if there isnt light reflecting off of it, then you are seeing the shape, not the color. If you are close enough to distinguish the color, then, well, I suppose it doesnt matter

So if the enemy is in range...so are you?

I'd say subdued natural colors would always be first choice. If I wanted color red, white, and blue would sing as long as it is not a direct US flag pattern.

Count me as another that likes bright colors - red, royal blue, emerald green, bright yellow. I find them cheery!

Large splotches of black are not stealthy based on the fact that large patches of black are not common in nature.

Don't get me wrong, I love the look of the all black setups. Just not for stealthiness

When It's almost completely dark in the house, I see the black cat everywhere she goes, the others kinda dissapear.

Wanna be stealthy with black? Camp in a cave. A complete absence of color sticks out like a sore thumb in all but the darkest of areas. There is more blue, yellow, orange in nature than black.

The black ones stand out very well compared to the others.
