    second hammock advice

Ok, so time to buy hammock 2. I figure ill let my wife use the eno when we're both out, and for general lounging. Heres what I need: some kind of skeeter netting, tarp (cheap. Over $ 100 is a bit daunting , so its optional) and easy to use.
I'm 6 ft, 275 ish. I'm thinking the only choice is a wbbb 1.7 double. I'd like a griz bridge but I'm too fat. HELP

You could try the Grand Trunk Air Bivy Extreme Shelter. It's $150 for everything. Not sure about the weight limit though...

at your weight there is nothing out there with netting and a tarp for under or even around $100 .....
there are a few HH's out there that have tarps and can handle your weight but your looking at $200+ easy

your best bet is save up some money and get something nice rather then buy something cheap ... or check out the for sale threads ... you missed a speer tarp for $55 ... but keep an eye out sometimes good deals come up
if your going to be doing alot of car camping there are cheaper tarps out there... around $60 but they are 2lbs

if you talk to grizz i'm sure he could make something that will handle your weight...
It puts the Underquilt on it's hammock ... It does this whenever it gets cold

the thing about the 100 was for the tarp alone, not the whole hammock setup.

and my main camping i guess would be called car camping, a back pack on me riding a motorcycle. wherever i end up the bike will be next to me...

The warbonnet big mambajamba is $100, but backordered. The AHE Alpine tarp is $80. Blackbird 1.7 sounds fine to me, and would work with both tarps, but min-coverage with the alpine. Plus if you get a blackbird and tarp from WB you will save $10, making the bigger tarp virtually the same price with the shipping savings.

I am your size and use the 1.7 double BB. Great hammock and very comfortable. There are a variety of tarps of there that will work.
I am still 18 but with 52 years of experience !

i second the Grand Trunk Air Bivy Extreme Shelter. The skeeterbeeter hammock it comes with is a nice hammock you can use for years.

my main question is about that dual ridgeline for the dang mesh. from the looks of it its going to be a pita to get that setup...

hammock, 2 ridgelines, tarp.... and from what i can see iffy suspension. i like things simple. like me....
