I just shortened my HH Snake Skins. I cut off roughly a foot from both skins at the larger opening. There was too much overlap for my liking. Between seam ripping, trimming, and sewing it took 45min. Not too bad for my first time sewing Sil-Nylon.

Next time I will take pictures. I did not think about it until afterwards.

For anyone interested the process was rather simple:
-Mark where you want to shorten to
-Mark and cut 2" closer to the original opening for the ripstop trim fold over
-Using a seam ripper, remove the original trim and plastic stiffener (part of a zip tie) and remove a 1/4" from each side of the zip tie
-Using the seam ripper remove the stitching from the ridgeline trim of the snake about 4"-5" from the new opening
-Sew the trim (from the old opening) to the end of new opening
-Insert the plastic stiffener
-Sew everything back up
-Fold over the trim to match the original stitching
---Done---

Sorry about the lack of pictures again.
