    Question Patterns

I'm kind of lazy (searches have been fruitless), just wondering if there is a resource for hammock related patterns. I don't see a sticky and can't seem to locate anything on the vendors web sites. What I am looking for is a one stop source for tarp, underquilt, hammock, bugnet, etc... patterns. My wife is getting adventuresome with her thread injector but she says patterns would be a tremendous help??

Have you tried clicking on the Hammock Articles all the way at the top of the screen? Then click on the DIY section on the left.

Patterns are pretty easy for all this stuff. Most of it are big rectangles. Whip the rectangle you got hammock, add tie outs to rectangle you have tarp, put 2 layers of rectangles together with some feathers in between and you got quilt.

P.S. I follow the advice of the poeple here but the patterns I use come from my head. Good luck to you and your wife.

Thanks for the links Cinnamon. I guess I should clairify, are there any actual patterns for purchase avaliable? The type for garment\costume making that can be pinned or taped on the fabric. She has made a couple simple patterns (stuff sacks etc...) but the more complex stuff (underquilts especially) would be easier if a professional plan could be bought or downloaded, any ideas??

Oh, of course there are. You just had to ask the right question to get the right answer.
Look here and here and here or here and here and here and here.
I hope a few of these are what your looking for.

Edit: I had some of these links but most I found by googling outdoor clothing patterns.

    Double Layer hammock:
    http://www.backwoodsdaydreamer.com/a...k-double-layer

truthfully, from a thread injection point of view, the hammock is the easiest of all... lots of long-rolled hems.

I'm off to go sew my zipper to my DL 1.1 hammock right now...

    Next steps? Whip and BUGNET!

With any luck, I'll be hanging in it tomorrow night...
