Blackbird Amsteel knot failure

Blackbird Amsteel knot failure:

On the foot end of my Blackbird the Amsteel that connects to the suspension system had the knot slip and undo during a short nap.

What knot was original to the Blackbird? And was it this original knot that slipped?? Or was this a knot that you'd tied there to connect the suspension??

On a side note, I can tell you from experience that a bowline tied into the amsteel will not hold, so don't use that knot.

I was under the impression that the knots in amsteel on the blackbird are double (maybe triple) fishermans knots.
