    Field Expedient

    ...repair.

As we were gathering up after a recent hang, Alan noticed a torn seam in my tq that was leaking down (I'd had a nightmare the night before, and vaguely remembered kicking pretty violently). I was all set to break out the duct tape, but Alan talked me out of it, and put a band aid on it, instead.

Okay, I've been so thoroughly inculcated in the invincibility of the trinity of duct tape, baling wire, and seine twine, I was thinking, "Band aid? No way!"

Way. I just got around to making a permanent repair, and let me tell you, a band aid sticks to ripstop like it's welded. Like to have never got it off. <Okie construction, there.

So, anyway, put that in your trick bag. Thanks, Alan!

Adding band aids to my trick bag. They'll be in there with the duct tape, baling wire, seine twine and WD-40

Zip Ties!!! You can't forget about zipties. Oh and dynamite, if you can't fix it, it shouldn't exist.
