It depends very much on your needs e.g. when do you hike - summer/winter?
Do you risk getting wet? Do pack size concern you?

You can't really go wrong with any of the vendors on this site when it comes to choice of brand, they all have good reps and deliver good products.

But personally i favor down for insulation, but keep in mind that down don't like too much water. If i'm on or around the water i prefer synthetics.

Also do you want a 3/4 length or full length UQ?

Do you hike most or camp most? If you hike most, it pays to keep a light and compact setup. Again - personally - i like full length just for the comfort, but if you hiking style is ultra long and hard unsupported trips, it makes good sense to have a 3/4 length quilt because of the reduced size and weight. But in the end it all comes down to your preference - there is no right or wrong here

This is kind of like asking, "What's the best car?" It's a personal preference on so many levels that none of us here can answer. The best answer is experience - trial and error. Many more will weigh in but the true test of what is the best for you will only come from trying them. If you purchase one and don't like it, you can get pretty much what you paid for it by turning around and selling it here. Then, by another

It's going to be tough to advise since there are so many parameters. As a taller guy I prefer full length and have two now. An Arrowhead Equip NR DWU (synthetic) and a Hammock Gear Incubator (down). I have space limitations and so the Incubator was purchased to pack into my paniers smaller than the NR. I like both UQs alot though.

Some love and swear by the half to 3/4 UQs with a CCF pad and some love the full length. If you want ubber light and small packing insulation get a 3/4 down. Good luck as the decision process can give you whiplash.
